Lavender Opportunity in CA

Hi,

I am posting to this forum to announce an opportunity I have for someone interested in working with the marketing of lavender. I would also appreciate any suggestions as to other places I could post this notice on the Internet, and encourage you to pass this on to any interested friend or family member.

I have approximately 5000 mature, 4 year-old lavender plants, Provence and Grosso, on my property in San Luis Obispo, California. San Luis Obispo is mid way between Los Angeles and San Francisco near the coast. I have invested a lot of time and money over the past years in this "hobby" business venture and have determined that while I'm an excellent grower, I've been in ag most of my life, my marketing skills are minimal.

I live and work out of the area and I am open to discussing all options and ideas. One consideration is to find someone to take over the field entirely. The field covers about an acre and a half, additional growing area is available. Another thought is to find the right person to take over the marketing. My primary goal is to find a use for the field rather than turning the water off of it.
