a weekend event in Central Calif. in March


To those of you who might be interested in visiting Central California in March . . .

The newly formed Central California Branch of the Mediterranean Garden Society, centered in the general vicinity of San Luis Obispo, is planning their very first meeting over the weekend of March 15-16. This two-day event includes visits to the Leaning Pine Arboretum, 3 small-scale local residential gardens by Jeffrey G. Smith and Patricia Cullinan, San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden, and a garden-oriented visit to Hearst Castle. Because this last part of the visit requires bookings be made by Feb 28th, you should be sure and sign up right away! We here in California are pleased to see yet another Branch added to our state, where interest in the mediterranean climate and it relevance to gardening and lifestyle in general is spreading rapidly!
