Q about Melianthus major - I have a wonderful M. major that is now about 7' tall. I've reduced it to three "trunks" and have been pinching off all the new growth at the base so it just gets taller and taller. Is there is any reason I shouldn't be using this approach? Should I be removing the old growth and allowing new trunks to develop each year or every few years?
Nan
