Wanted to bring to your attention various upcoming events around the world (some may be local to you!) listed on the web site:

For those of you who are members of the Mediterranean Garden Society, it is almost too late to register for the Annual General Meeting in Tuscany in Oct 2003!! But don't fret, there are some other nice events that can possibly console you (some of these events require membership in the sponsoring organization):

March 5, 10am-5pm (Wednesday) - UK
Flowers from the Cape (seminar)
Royal Horticultural Society
An overview of plants that originate from the mediterranean climate region of South African (Western Cape), with information on cultivation

March 8-9 (Sat-Sun) - South Africa
28th Annual Kirstenbosch Garden Fair
A wide range of indigenous plants specially grown for this event will be on sale and exhibit

March 15-16 (Sat-Sun) - Central California
the first meeting of the newly formed Central California Branch of the Mediterranean Garden Society - A spring weekend of tours and talks!

March 23 (Sunday) - South Australia
Mediterranean Garden Society, South Australia Branch
Bus trip to visit 4-5 gardens in the Milang and Currency Creek area

March 30 (Sunday) - Northern California
Northern California Branch of the Mediterranean Garden Society
Mt. Diablo hike with Glenn Keator, author of The Plants of Mt Diablo

April 5-6 (Sat-Sun) - Greece
Mediterranean Garden Society - Greek Branch
A mountain and maritime excursion to Messinia in the Peloponnese

April 13, 1:30-3pm (Sunday) - Northern California
U.C. Santa Cruz Arboretum
South African Salvias: Low Water Plants with author Betsy Clebsch, who will sign the new edition of her Book of Salvias.

May 8-12 (Thu-Mon) - Greece

Wild Flower Excursion in Crete with George Sfikas

May 17-18 (Sat-Sun) - Northern California
Northern California Branch of the Mediterranean Garden Society

A garden tour Shropshire, Herefordshire and Staffordshire
