Re: 'Purezza' climbing rose

Robin:

San Marcos Nursery (a wholesaler) grows this rose and
it's found its way into many gardens in this area.

At first glance, it looks very much like a basic Rosa
banksiae. But it's paler yellow than the yellow R.
banksiae (almost white?), slightly larger in flower
(still in clusters) and the flowers are not like
little "pom-pons" -- more like flattened miniature
roses.

It does rebloom very nicely and maybe just a bit more
than Rosa banksiae but around here regular R. b.
actually blooms a lot during the year.

Like R.b., it's quite the rampant grower.
