In habitat its definitely soak areas or streamside. Presume, if it did go
wild on you it would have to be in those areas or in a summer temperate
climate. It would handle a normal garden soil but with much additional
watering. Definitely not a dry land subject. I also find it gets 'leggy'
quickly. Best planted at the back of a border so the base is screened out &
it can rise above foregound growth. Lovely when it does flower though.
