I do feel that for relatively short-lived and easily-replaced shrubs the effort of moving is rarely justified as one can often end up with a poor struggling (and unattractive) old crock which does not survive many more seasons. By taking cuttings as Susan suggests you would on the contrary gain yourslf a vigorous rejuvenated plant in the new position with plenty of years of attractive life ahead.
