Rabbits, deer, goats - and probably other wild or semi-wild animals - will gnaw the bark off trees in hard winters.

Hi Nan, Do you have squirrels? Squirrels managed to kill my sisters Hoheria tree by eating the bark. She lives in Berkeley. Cathy
Some critter is eating the bark on my littlefig tree. It has to bea climber as the bark is missing from about10" off the ground allthe way up to a couple of feet off theground.Any ideas what's eating my fig?
