Hello
You mentioned Rosa banksiae Purezza. I planted this in Portland, OR
three or four years ago and two years ago got a few blooms. It is
growing against a fence, just behind a Lonicera nitida which provides
a good deal of root protection. Last year it became covered in
mildew, which has disappeared with the application of a mild
bicarbonate of soda spray.
It seems to have survived our abnormally cold and very wet winter
and seems to be getting ready to send out new leaves, and, I hope,
lots of flowers.

The banksian roses are once blooming in very early spring here. Rosa
banksiae lutea, lutescens, normalis and banksiae are Chinas best
used for climbing or covering a wall or pergola. In Italy, there's
a hybrid of the Lady Banks rose called Purezza which reblooms and
has double white flowers larger than the species.
