RE: for MGS members (or prospective members)

The other thing to check if you are having problems reaching the membership form is browser cookies. That page is not accessible at all if you have cookies for the mediterraneangardensociety.org website disabled or even not enabled--I had to add the site address to my "okay" list before I could see the page.

Subject: for MGS members (or prospective members)

To current or prospective MGS members on this forum -

Though I have been assured by the President of The Mediterranean
Garden Society (MGS) that this has not been causing a problem for
other renewing or prospective members, I have been personally
contacted by some subscribers of this forum who have had a problem
with the MGS web site membership form. I hope I have responded to
each of you who contacted me in the past 6 weeks, but if not, and in
case there are others, I provide the following a a means of
understanding the problem as well as a solution.

While it is possible to access the MGS web site via the following URLs
- "www.mediterraneangardensociety.org" &
"mediterraneangardensociety.org" - the membership web form does NOT
work if you use the latter (sans the "www." prefix), providing instead
a very unfriendly error. Don't fear - you've done nothing wrong, and
this is not a sign of complete technically ineptitude! ;-)

In simpler terms, if you wish to renew or begin a membership in the
MGS using their handy online form, be sure you have the "www." prefix
in the web site's URL.

[Of course, it is possible for the web site to be configured to access
this other, obviously legitimate URL (technically adding a FormMail
@referrer of "mediterraneangardensociety.org" in addition to the
existing "www.mediterraneangardensociety.org" @referrer), but that
would be a matter for those in charge of the web site to acknowledge
and request changed.]

I hope you all are having a wonderful early spring. Our plum tree is
now in full, glorious bloom, scenting the entire garden and 'snowing'
its delicate petals everywhere.

Best regards,
