So, in response to people's comments, I have been looking into re-configuring the groups settings. UC Davis uses SYMPA (Systeme de Multi-Postage Automatique). I have been combing through the SYMPA interface they provide, looking for how to change the 'Reply-To' to default to sending messages to the group (rather than the person who posted to the group). Not yet finding it - have asked assistance from the IT department.
