Hey folks -

So, I've been experimenting with various lists and now have a simple listserv that does the 'reply-to' the list as requested.  Testing has confirmed this.

Now to make the move - I can provide the new list provider with the names of current subscribers on this list, or you can individually subscribe yourselves.

A few folks have asked to be removed from this current list during this recent discussion, and I've noticed a few others silently unsubscribe.

If anyone decides they don't wish to participate in the new list, they can also unsubscribe or ask to be removed.

I have also talked with the keeper of the current list's archive on Hort.net about having the new list archived in the same place (so that both lists can be searched at the same time).

Any thoughts on the best way to make the move (mass list subscribe, or individual option)?

Also, when we move to the new list, be thinking about what sort of discussion you wish to happen there and consider how to post towards that goal.

hello sean, my email gives me the choice to "reply" and "reply list", ive chosen the latter for this, 1. i want to thank you, for first starting this list so many years ago, i have learned and enjoyed from it 2. i only see this from my home computer, on this old email address, as i prefer (i have a large family, and i dont do this on my phone:) 3. there used to be input from people all over the world, australia, italy, england, france, and all over the u.s., i was once more active, but life events limit me now(i type 1handed:) and my oh my the drought here , and now boulder creek is 70" rain for this year, 4. the hyacinths are still blooming here for 20 years now, our 3rd prostanthera (about 10x10' now and when she is in bloom, wow!) keeled over on our porch in jan  from the wind but we propped her up  with ropes tied to our house, and otherwise all the salvias, heirloom roses, apple trees, meyer lemon, lime we added and our (30' hawthorn tree-  twas here when we came 26 yrs ago), surrounded by the redwood grove, douglas firs, are looking good, all on the edge of the san lorenzo river(we live literally on the bank about 40' above when low but this is the first year since the late 90's she has risen so high), i became a master composter, and really care for this piece of ground, and i am posting this because this is what i have enjoyed hearing from others on this medit plants list:) and if my ramblings are not interesting or informative, so be it:) p.s. i didnt answer your question, because i havent a clue about formats, sorry, maura and i trust you to do what you think is best....
