Hi Medit plants lovers,
Maybe winter has frozen our list?
We are supposed to live in a mediterranean climate or am I wrong?
Here in Calabria these are the colder days of the years
( min temp 4 C at sea level), but Acacia longifolia, A. floribunda
and A. dealbata are now in full bloom.
Calicotome villosa begins to bloom on the sunny slopes, near the blue
flower of Lupinus angustifolius.
Almond trees are covered with white flowers ( they have
no leaves yet) and Pyrus amigdaliformis shows its fresh leaves and flowers.
In my little nursery seedlings of Ceratonia siliqua and Pyrus amigdaliformis
(sowed in november) are sprouting from pots and I'm preparing some
Nerium oleander cuttings.
Brrrr...che freddo!!!
Bye
Paolo
