Colette, go to the South West, it is by far the less spoiled area and make
sure you visit the Preveli river and natural Reserve, - that is really the
most magic place in Crete- and of course do climb the gorge Samaria, if
there is not too much snow (in any case I would advise to ascend it, it is
really a nice trekking of about 4 hours, not to descend as the tourist
tours always do) All the Lefkà ora (white mountain) is wonderful for
plants, phlomises will be in flower and so the bulbs!
