When I was about ten I took a childish delight in the fact that I could
actually SPELL Mediterranean correctly, but I must admit that after
sixty years or so this no longer excites me much and far from
ridiculing the suggestion I would be very happy to see Med substituted
in our correspondence on this list.
I think also your distinction between a Med plant and a Med climate
plant is both elegant and useful and I would certainly go along with
their "official" adoption.
