Funnily enough, both Acacias dealbata and baileyana are flowering a
few weeks later than normal here too. Dealbata started sporadically
in early January, but has only just really got into its stride.
Prunus cerasifera and its various forms have been fully out for about
2 weeks here and are just starting to 'go-over'.
It was so warm and balmy yesterday I had a stroll along the sea front
and noticed that Zantedeschias that were just starting to flower.
When I got back, a quick inspection of my clumps revealed plenty of
flower buds just starting to show. This will be the earliest year for
a long time - normally we don't see them out much before mid-late
April. I just wish the coloured hybrids were as precocious - they
are barely a few inches high.
