Re: Lezpedeza thunbergii

I've just joined this list.  Re: your seeds, the correct spelling is
Lespedeza thunbergii.  It is a member of the Legume family from Japan,
Korea and China.  It is a plant with a woody rootstalk and arching stems
to 180cm.  The pea-like flowers (magenta) are in long racemes.  L.
bicolor, E. Siberia, N. China, is a graceful deciduous shrub to 2 m.
Both grow on grassy, dry hills and scrub and flower in late summer
through the fall.   Diane Pertson
