wasp sting redux

thanks to all who responded, some with alarm, to my wasp sting questions
last summer. I did check with my doc and he told me that the syndrome I
showed (swelling, itching, heat and redness at the sting site) is indeed
indicative of sensitivity and will probably get worse. In extreme cases a
shot of cortisone will give some relief, similar to poison-oak treatment.
However, the good news is that this physiological reaction is a completely
different mechanism than that displayed in anaphylactic shock and
respiratory failure, so I don't need to worry about dying from a wasp sting.
Yet, anyway. I still appreciate your concern for my safety!
Happy New Year to all; I am feeling very grateful for rain today. Enjoyed
Heidi G's Horticulture article. Various tazettas blooming, and Camellia
sasanqua 'Yuletide'; otherwise not a lot happening here except winter
architectural bones. And a dopey pot of calendula and ornamental kale
(can't help myself).
I have truly enjoyed listening in on your conversations in the past year.
