 Dear All,
I just cannot resist to add a few more details. Scilla peruviana has
a short dormancy period end of July early August (during which it should
be kept dry). Foliage appears mid August and resists very well to
frosts and can be grown in full ground in most of France (excepting
North of Paris and higher). Left undisturbed it will spread by divisions
and seed. Large umbels appear here early April until the middle of May.
Our form 'Grand Bleu' divides less and produces larger inflorescences.
The best planting period is July/August (although September-October is possible).
 S. peruviana (white and blue form) is surprisingly under-utilised in
mediterranean gardens, as it is spectacular and very easy to grow. You
might have guessed one of the favourites in our nursery.
