Hi David!
Bay Laurel Nursery in Atascadero, CA 93422

They list 5 different cultivars of pomegranates including the soft-skinned
'Sweet' that Rosilyn Creasy recommends. Aparently you can roll the ripened
fruit of this between your hands, then poke a hole in it and drink the juice
through a straw! Catalogue says it is a small tree suitable for espalier or
container growing.
In a large terra cotta pot, I grow the old 'Wonderful' that has been
grafted to a tree form. It is 3 years old and bears well on drooping branches.
Takes a little training and rubbing out of unwanted buds from time to time, but
I love it for it's great form and red globes at Christmas time! Got it bare
root at Hortus Nursery.
Cheers, Jan
