Tree Idea Results

Thanks for the reminder to send individual replies to the group. Here are the
ideas from my recent query on replacement trees here in San Jose CA for an
Aleppo pine and eucalyptus sideroxylon that were blown down. We wanted 30' max,
similar to the previous trees, drought tolerant, and hardy to 0F.

We ended up purchasing an agonis flexuosa and another Aleppo pine for several
reasons. My husband loved the pine and so did the birds. We also loved the
pine needles for use around the yard. Our climate is 9b/16 with very little
frost so the hardiness of both trees should work. We liked the A. flexuosa
scented leaves, the similar look to the eucalyptus but it's cleaner, and the
form and size.

Thanks to Joe Seals, David Feix, Karrie Reid, Laly Mali, Juan Garcia, Sean
O'Hara, and KK for input. If you want to read all their great suggestions, I
can send them as one email to you. Let me know.

Cheers,
Bracey
