Happy Gardening to all for 2004!
I understand that some trees/shrubs are quite happy planted in/closeby a
lawn with moisture via lawn sprinklers but are there others which would
not thrive or die with this method of irrigation?
My neighbour has quite a large lawn (300-400sq.m) of gramma.
On the upper section there are:
a lovely mature schinus molle,
Chorisia not thriving
Poinsettia doing very well
Bougainvillaea ,, ,, ,,
Wisteria (20 years old) died summer 2003
narrow bed of roses doing OK
Lower lawn (low sunlight in winter)
Grapefruit excellent
Fig excellent
Plum/cherry/apricot all dying or dead
Is sprinkler irrigation harmful to some plants - is there a internet
site with information?
