Hi folks -
I've just completed updating the event calendar for the Mediterranean Garden Society and I am amazed at how many interesting events are taking place this spring/summer! The various International Branches events are listed (along with a couple of joint events) here:

I find it fascinating to belong to an international horticultural group and wish I had the opportunity to travel to each and every event worldwide! (visiting MGS members are always welcome at events).
A couple of people suggested I mention my talk next week on this forum (alright, alright, don't twist my arm! ;-).
January 27th (Tuesday), 12:30pm, Oakland
Our Mediterranean Climate: what does it mean and why should we care?
– a slide presentation by Seán O’Hara, outlining the unique climate we enjoy in the Bay Area, its challenges and advantages, and its impact upon our lifestyle as well as our gardening style; Sponsored by the Hillside Gardeners of Montclair.
Joaquin Miller Community Center, 3594 Sanborn Drive (inside Joaquin Miller Park), Oakland.
For more information, contact the Program Coordinator Ronni Brega, (510) 482-5884, rlbrega@pacbell.net.

Maybe I'll see a few of you local SF Bay Area folks there!?
