SF Flower & Garden show vignette display?

This message is for folks in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I have been recently contacted by the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show folks about the possibility of creating a 'vignette' garden (i.e. a non-profit display garden). There is a 8ftx16ft display area still available at the entrance of the vignette display hall (good position!). Our Mediterranean Garden Society does wish to re-enter this year. In the past, I have 'bounced' the idea of doing a Medit-Plants related display to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this e-mail forum. I have some ideas as to what might be done, and can provide some artistic direction, but I will not have the time (or stamina) to direct/create such a display this year. If there are people here who are local to this area who would like to take on such a project in the name of Medit-Plants, now is the time to step forward! It was very interesting to be involved in this in the past, and there is plenty of opportunity to see how such a huge events takes shape behind the scenes. You meet lots of interesting local designers and tradespersons. Pretty cool.

The Garden Show takes place in March, so it is already starting to get a little late.

The Garden Show staff thought the vignette we created last time was one of their best. Like I said, I have some possible ideas - all centered around sharing information through the internet, publications, etc. Some of my ideas involve some fun artistic stuff, so if there are folks out there who enjoy crafty construction, you'd be needed. There is a very modest reimbursement from the Garden Show folks at the end that is meant to cover costs (don't count on it to go very far!).
