Happy New Year / list changes

Medit-Plants folks -

Happy New Year!

Recently, the Medit-Plants list default was changed from 'reply to
original poster' to 'reply to group'.  The reason this was done was
because there had not been a post to the group since November.  Those
of us who monitor the health of this forum were concerned that it
might have inadvertently gotten quite because those responding to the
posts made before this recent 'quiet time' would, by default, be
responding only to the original sender and not the group as a whole.
A small handful have asked to set this default back to what it was
before.  I suggest that the simplest way to make this happen is to
encourage discussion in this forum so that such measure as those
recently taken are rendered unneeded.

BTW, i thought I would remind this group of the mediterranean climate
garden Flickr group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/medit-garden/pool/),
a curated collection of images of plants and gardens appropriate to
our climate, which is closing in on 3,000 items!  Feel free to browse
them, share your thought with the group (include the URL of the
specific photo), or add comments to the photos on Flickr (you'll need
an account, which is free).  being a visual person myself, I enjoy
looking through this collection as recreation or research for
horticultural thinking.
