Re: Dianella sp.


        The two variegated forms of Dianella mentioned are both subject to
loss when divided, when very young, or bare root.  I have grown them for
years and when I divide them I routinely lose 30-40%.  They are slow to
establish and settle down but do very well as time goes by.  The much
easier, green form of D. tasmanica which produces lovely deep blue berries
is also choice.  A freind grows another species (which she has offered me
several times) but I am not sure of the species.  I can only offer these
here at the nursery and not mail order.
