Budget seed cleaning

My favorite seed cleaning tools are a kitchen sieve, a tea strainer and a
wok. The wok is actually an extremely useful winnowing device. If you put
an ounce or two (25-50g) of the chaffy seeds into it, then hold the wok
with your hands on either side on its handles, then make circular
movements: down, forwards, up, backwards, with the down and forwards part
very fast, the rest slower. It takes a while to get the knack just right,
but is highly effective when you do. The air current you create makes the
chaff go to the front of the small pile, while any stones go to the back.
You can also gently blow on the seeds as you winnow, to help it work.
