I'm sure that what people are saying is usually true. But there are
probably exceptions. It is my understanding that poinsettias (which do well
in parts of San Luis Obispo) must be pruned immediately. I have been told
that frozen plants actually develop some sort of toxin which will kill the
rest of the plant. Perhaps this is an old wives tale but perhaps someone
can truly enlighten us! ---chas---
