I'm a organic chemist. I know how to make 2,4-D etc. There are
times for that but not in this case.
Actually what you need for the yellow oxalis (assuming your oxalis
is like my oxalis) is a simple inorganic chemical that is relatively
harmless to anything else, ammonium thiosulfate. It can be purchased under
the name of Oxalis X. I get it here at a Farm Supply store which does a lot
of irrigation work.I used it at a place I own and it did a magnificent job
for me! It is closely related to photographic hypo!
There is a pre-emergent material that I haven't used called
Treflan, used with water (rain or municipal). This doesn't kill what's
there, just keeps it from coming from seed!
Good luck! Let me know if it works for you. ---Chas---
