I have seen dymondia used in a traffic island near the local Orchard
Supply Hardware (and nusery). It really IS tough as iron! im sure it
gets walked on a lot, and makes a nice tight mat (very firm to walk
on). Sometimes it has small yellow flowers which give a nice accent.
They have it growing under some Callistemons.
