My grandfather was that way with Gardenias. The reason is, he worked as
a kid in a Funeral Home, and the main flowers they used were gardenias.
He couldnt stand their smell.
One flower ive always thought smelled particularly gross were Margurite
flowers (Chrysanthemum frutescens). Its not a nice smell, and often the
flowers have some sort of small fly or a fly like insect among the
flowers.
