Thanks much for the origins info. Hmm, I didn't realize it was
monocarpic. Mine took at least two winters, maybe three, to bloom. That's
a bit of a long wait for one flowering, though not impossible. Anyone know
a source for the bulbs? I've looked, but so far no luck...

Confused a bit here -- do you mean vase as in cut flowers, or do you mean
a living plant growing in a pot?
