Re: Campanula primulifolia
Jane'
Campanula primulifolia is native to the mediterranean region, has the
leaves of a primrose, as the name implies. The stem rises, however, to a
height of about 24 to 36 ins, with a cluster of open-petalled flowers,
each a little bigger than a primrose. It is biennial, but sets an
enormous amount of seed, which will happily self-sow if you give it half
a chance.
It is beautiful enough, but lots of people put it at the front of a bed,
and are surprised when it towers so tall.
Best of wishes with it.
