I've fallen for the plant. BTW, another way to deal with latex stems, that works with Poinsettias, is to cut the stem and place in alcohol for 5-10 minutes then to place the stem into cold water for about an hour or longer, with Poinsettias water up to the bracts. Then lower the water to the needed height. I've done this and had a 'cut Poinsettias' last 6 weeks in water. It might be worth a try. Michael in San Diego begoniagrowing@home.com
