Yes. Chiranthodendron pentadactylon.  Bombacaceae. 
Also called "Mexican hand plant".

There's a great big specimen of it at Quail Botanical
Gardens, just up the road form you Nan.

Also note, that the Rancho Santa Ana Botanical Gardens
has intergeneric hybrids of it with Fremontodendron. 
Nice stuff.
