Re: Wind Resistant fast growing trees.


I read that Strybing, in San Francisco, had to have several windbreaks in place before the garden itself could be planted. The article was written because these windbreak trees were reaching the limits of their natural lifespan, and there was concern that the gardens would be left unprotected. The article was probably in Pacific Horticulture, but I'm sure there would be information on the web about what Strybing used for windbreaks.
