Several years ago i saw a very surprising combination of Auracarias in a
small square near the Hotel de Ville (Town Hall) in Paris. Four or five
juvenile but tall Auracaria auracana were planted close together along
with a mass of red dwarf flax and one large very silver octopussy Agave
- A. vilmoriniana perhaps. It was a very cramped piece and obviously
looked on as bedding out just for summer but it did look very, very
spectacular in a Dino-topia kind of way. It was at a time when many
designers were into Mega-flora.
