    My immediate question has to do with trimming a somewhat young Tipuana tipu. It is several years old and has a caliper about 6 inches several feet above ground level. It is putting out some long branches and looks a bit unruly. Can you tell me if it is customary to trim this tree kin its early life or should one bear with it and wait a few years.                                            ---Chas---
