Indeed. I have noticd people taking more interest in what I grow when
before people would stop by with cards for landscaping (apparently the
naturalistic garden I have looks like a weed patch). I actually had a
couple of people ask me about the pruple leaved Cotinus coggygria I
have growing in the garden.

You're doing good work, Nan. Of course talking about the benefits of
Mediterranean gardening is preaching to the choir here. I actually try
to introduce friends of mine to mediterraneans by posting in my
journal some of the more interesting (well, to me) ones, and looking
at their history.
