When any of you are in Santa Cruz, drop
by the UCSC Arborteum. You will note that nothing is watered unless very special
circumstances. A huge area of plants from Australia, New Zealand, and
California. There is minimal maintenance. It is the most sustainable landscape
(in the right climate, of course) I have ever seen. Few problems pest or
animals. Heavy bloom season in autumn and winter. What more could one ask for?
