Hi Steve -
There does seem to be a variegated strain of borage. It is a “hit-or-miss” type, the leaves randomly splashed with lighter colors and even creamy white. Seems a difficult plant to photograph but I attach a collage of some photos found on the web.
Borago officinalis ‘Bill Archer’. An. Sun. 2’. Summer 703-Blue blooms. Annual. Height 12-18”. Starry blue flowers in summer and fall. Leaves are showily splashed with cream to white markings.
