[medit-plants] Re: Is this Borage?

Hi Steve -

There does seem to be a variegated strain of borage.  It is a “hit-or-miss” type, the leaves randomly splashed with lighter colors and even creamy white.  Seems a difficult plant to photograph but I attach a collage of some photos found on the web.

Borago officinalis ‘Bill Archer’. An. Sun. 2’. Summer 703-Blue blooms. Annual. Height 12-18”. Starry blue flowers in summer and fall. Leaves are showily splashed with cream to white markings.

Hello!

it does seem to be a Borago officinalis, but maybe suffering a bit of Potassium or Nitrogen deficiency?

Hey smart folks,
A friend asked me about this plant she saw. Photo is attached. Looks like Borage to me, Borago officinalis but I never saw a variegated form before.  Could it be something else?
