echium(pride of Madera)help

Greetings to all,
My problem is I have recently recieved seeds of Pride of Madera.However
the sender (thanks Merlene if your out there)tells me she has never
successfully propagated this Echium from seed; only from cuttings.

Say it isnt so..Has anyone personal experience and or success with this
plant from seed? Any and all help is welcomed and most appreciated.
