Mary, I tried to send you a response some time ago but it seemed to get
lost somewhere. In the meantime I have spoken to the lady of the house,
but she doesn't know - would be interested to find out if I can trace
it! Many thanks for the Gymnosperm link, it's great - but I didn't
manage to match up with my mystery trees. I've since found a mature
tree, too. I think I shall ask the person who does the Gymnosperm
database; he would be likely to know!
