Re: Nolina texana
A somewhat more more pleasant description is to be found in the catalog of
Plants Delight Nursery:
Nolina texana 52-8s ( Bear Grass )
Sun 24" tall Zone: 7-10, at least Origin: Mexico
This seed collection of N. texana from 6,700' (#52-8) came from a Yucca Do
expedition to Coahuila Mexico. The typical
green foliage makes a stiff rosette to 2' wide, topped with a stalk of tiny
white flowers in late spring... great for mixing into the
border for winter interest. Catalog #01776
This was from 1 of over 100 entries from Google.com the search engine from
Stanford.
On the whole it sounds like a dermatologic disaster but attractive.
