I used to enjoy that in my previous garden, when we finally turned our
attention to the front of the house and took out the large hedge that used
to hide the garden from the road. Now I live in the country with no road
frontage, and the only people who see the garden are our friends, but those
we see rarely always comment favourably on the huge changes since they last
visited. I guess we all love our gardens, and having other people comment
on them in glowing terms ought to make us feel good!
