Or shold that be FORGOT THE NATIVE PLANTS?
As usual I have overlooked the native plants in bloom. We grow few in the garden because they do not like being cultivated around, nor do they like compost and fertiliser, and because I want to explore the world of Medit-exotics. None-the-less the natives in the eucalypt forest around us are blooming now: Hardenbergia violacea (the purple pea climber), Acacia rotundifolia ( a small spiny shrub with yellow bobbles) and a few non- native natives introduced from other parts of Australia esp. the Cootamundra Wattle - Acacia baileyana, and Acacia dealbata. Most other local natives are gearing up to bloom in a month or two. I'll try to remember them better in a later report.
