Rudolph,
I have tried many things, (including Chewing gum and sonic, but no poisons or smoke bombs)
for gophers and moles/voles
and the one thing that seems to work is this:
I collect the hair from when we brush our dogs, so I always have a bag full,
and when I see evidence of the critters, I find an entrance to their hole, (not hard to do in
my garden as they are mostly raised beds about a foot high surrounded by rocks)
then stuff in a handful of dogs hair and shoot a jet of water into their tunnel for a minute,
-they don't like the dogs hair in their tunnels and the hair is probably good for the soil.
I do this several times each year, but it takes little time, and they have done little damage
since I started doing this a few years ago.... -actually my dogs have done more damage
this year by digging holes -going after the critters!!!!!!!!!!! go figure!!!!!!!!
