Could someone tell me what is happening to my
Hybrid tomatoes? The end quarter of the tomato plant looks green and has
blossoms. The middle section is yellowish, some lime green in color with a
mottled look and the leaves look somewhat dry. I can see the veins of the
leaves as they are darker in color. I have labeled the plants and one
variety has more of this problem than the other type. The pear tomatoes
which are younger but also blossoming and in the same row next to the
troubled tomatoes are not affected . I water using the dripper
system. I think the plants do not have the amount of foliage they need to
keep the sun off the tomatoes and the foliage is not a dark green more of a gray
green. These tomatoes have been producing about 2 weeks. They are also not as
bushy as I think tomatoes should be. I have used an all purpose granular
fertilizer where the dripper emits water and several weeks ago and I have
sprayed the foliage with fertilizer, but not recently.
Thank you.
