Hi Everyone,
We have recently purchased a property in the
Algarve (Southern Portugal) with a good sized garden that was established some
20/30 years ago. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on how one looks at
things it has been uncared for during the last five years or so. As a result
there are orange, lemon and we believe apricot trees, some interesting
vines, together with two palms, oleanders, Italian Cypress, bougainvillea and
other shrubs, some of which appear to be time expired or in need of love and
attention. Presently living in a chilly grey UK we do not have much experience
of tending, pruning or cultivating the aforementioned and whilst we do have one
or two books on what one can consider planting there is no real depth in how to
look after them thereafter. Can anyone suggest some titles, perhaps with any
appropriate cataloguing and publication data that would enable us learn more,
restore and develop the garden?
