Your posting reminds me to ask you and the group when I should divide
and re-plant my overcrowded pot of Nerine sarniensis. It did not bloom
well last year and has been multiplying in the pot for at least 5 years.
I remember some discussion here a month or so ago about it being best to
water these from time to time during their summer dormancy. Mine still
are showing some green leaves.

Dear Janet,
Normally the leaves of your Nerine sarniense should be dry by now.
Just check if the leaves are 7-8 mm wide and if it remain green
throughout the summer it could be N bowdenii.(a summergrower)
Nerine sarniense can be divided now and growth will restart the end
of the summer. If it is a N bowdenii the best time is mid winter. But as
it seems it won't flower anyway you might as well repot this N bowdenii
now and well prepare the flowering for 2001. Flowerbuds are initiated
2-3 years before the flowers appear, so be patient!
Kind regards
